Premier Fire and Security is Hiring a FIre Alarm Technician Near Hanahan, SC

Premier Fire & Security services all aspects of life safety and we are in need of Fire Alarm Technicians to join our team! We take our mission “to protect lives and property” very seriously. If you’re passionate about that mission, you’ll make a great addition!

Technicians will inspect, and as deficiencies are found, service, install and repair fire alarm and security wiring as well as other various low voltage equipment (CCTV, Access Controls, Security systems, Special Hazards equipment, etc).

Responsibilities:

Perform inspections, install and program new fire alarms, security systems, access control and camera systems.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fire alarm, security systems, access controls and security camera systems.

Conduct inspections and routine preventative maintenance on all systems.

Monitor inventory of service parts on company vehicle when training has progressed to such a level.

Once familiar with Premier Fire expectations, technicians will be required to be part of a rotating on-call schedule and respond in a timely manner.

Position requires a level of self-accountability, while performing field work.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience preferred in install/service of fire alarm, security systems, access control and/or cameras.
  • 2 years experience in inspections, testing and maintenance of fire alarm systems preferred.
  • NICET Certification in Fire Alarm, and/or Special Hazards preferred.
  • Familiarity with hand/ power tools, uploading/downloading/programming.
  • Adaptability to change in an innovative technology industry, that is ever evolving.
  • Ability to bend at the waist and knees, as some confined space work is necessary.
