Summary of Position

The Supply Chain Buyer is responsible for the procurement, movement, and storage of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods. The role calls for the design, plan, execution, control, and monitoring of supply chain activities to create value, synchronize supply with demand, and measure performance. The Supply Chain Buyer will monitor daily operations status, and communicate changes to department leaders, and assess or change current logistical issues, as well as identify and deploy industry supply chain best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the procurement of some raw materials and packaging items.

· Build trust-based relationships with suppliers and vendors.

· Develop and manage project timelines, workflows.

· Manage and track quality of materials and ensure vendors issue credit and/or fix issues concerning raw materials and their processes.

· Adjust orders to optimize shipments.

· Visit key vendors regularly.

· Support inbound logistics of raw materials.

· Meet cost savings goals through effective purchasing and sourcing of materials

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

· Advanced computer skills, Excel, and related software.

· Proven leadership skills, solid written and verbal communication skills.

Manufacturing/Raw materials experience is a plus.

· Knowledge of Macola and Netsuite software is a plus.

· Ability to monitor multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
