Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Technician and Maintenance professional to join our team. As Caffeina Coffee Roasting Company Specialty Equipment Technician and Lead Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for installing, repairing, troubleshooting, and completing all manageable; mechanical, plumbing, electrical issues that arise at Caffeina café’s, Caffeina partners and third-party related projects. Your expertise in HVAC, mechanical knowledge, and industrial maintenance will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and systems.

Job Description:

- Monday- Friday 9am- 3pm, emergency on call 24/7

- 14 days PTO annually

- Manage service needs and preventive maintenance needs for all Caffeina cafes Caffeina related projects.

- Manage third party service and installation schedule.

- Lead and continually develop maintenance protocol, processes, and systems.

- Serve as a resource and liaison to café managers to assist in meeting overall expectations of café cleanliness, equipment repairs, equipment readiness, café repairs and needs.

- Order and manage parts inventory.

- Annual continued education specialty coffee equipment

Requirements of a Specialty Coffee Technician and Lead Maintenance Manager

- 5 years of maintenance experience; mechanical, electrical, and plumbing experience

- 2 years of management experience

- 2 years of specialty coffee repair experience

- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

- Minimum High School or GED. College degree in culinary or a closely related field a plus

- 35 hours work weeks; periodically evenings and weekends as projects require.

Specialty coffee equipment repairs, maintenance and care require a detailed approach to maintenance. We are looking for this manager to possess ample troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in addition to customer service qualities as you will always be working with store managers, third party operators and vendors. This manager can navigate installing new and used specialty equipment, often requires installing electrical cords, changing plugs, building drains, establishing water lines, splitting water lines, changing filters, installing water filtration etc.

We are looking for a maintenance manager to assist in building our café’s protocols, processes, and systems to best meet the expectations of cleanliness and care. We require all necessary maintenance to have immediate attention and repair. This can most often be managed on a preventative schedule, we are looking for this maintenance manager to assist in co-creating a preventative schedule with the café manager, third party operators and leadership team.

This role periodically requires travel- we have a variety of accounts that are outside of the Bosie area. This role has a service van for all travel and per diem food and lodging budget for all road trips. Continued education is often hosted at Caffeina, we also encourage our technicians to participate in La Marzocco’s tech training program in Seattle- all travel expenses are paid for by Caffeina with a per diem food budget.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.66 per hour
