Marvin and Betty Danto Healthcare Center is looking to build its team of Registered Nurse RNs/Licencesed practical Nurse LPN.

As a Nursing TEAM member, you will be an integral partner in providing the best possible care for our residents.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Providing care to residents by performing a variety of treatments.
• Performing personal resident care duties.
• Administering medications to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with our policy and procedures.
• Supervising Certified Nursing Assistants, making assignments and enforcing facility policies.
• Assisting in training new personnel.
• Accurately recording resident behaviors in clinical records.

Qualifications and Skills

Must be licensed in the state of Michigan and pass a background check.

This postion also requires you to track and implment all infection control policies and ensure staff are adhereing to policies. You will follow all CDC guidelines and input all infections to ensure proper mcgreer's criteria are met and appropriate diagnoses are listed. You will be a major role in annual survey and have to speak on your data and maintain data from month to month to ensure proper policy and infection protocols are being folllowed. IP will also arrange vaccine clinics and ensure residents are updated/offered on CDC receommended vaccines. IP will maintain and ensure all new employees have been offered and received required vaccines/testing. IP will also play an important role in orientation to ensure staff have necessary tools to begin employment in the facility. 

As the staff development nurse you will be in charge of performing in person training with nursing staff regarding new infections, policies or POC education that is needed. You will also be in charge of ensuring all staff are educated and tracking completion of education and educate staff when needed. 

This postion is FT Monday-Friday ranging from 8:30-5pm but has some flexiability and also includes an on call nurse manager rotation. No weekends or Holidays.
