Preferred Care at Home of Champlain Valley is Hiring a Caregiver Near Essex, VT

Preferred Care at Home of Champlain Valley , a nationwide senior care company, is seeking qualified caregivers in the Burlington area available for 40hr / week work.

$22 for experience with hands on care.

We have up to 40 hours per week assignments available, with new cases becoming available every week.

Openings have a flexible start date and a competitive pay structure.

Home health aides act as a bridge to independent living for many seniors as well as those with disabilities who may also require assistance with activities of daily living.

From monitoring a client’s vital signs and physical or mental condition, to assisting with grooming, hygiene, and chores around the house, Home Health Aides allow clients to maintain the familiarity and dignity of living at home.

Home Health Aid Compensation and Benefits :

Competitive Pay

Flexible Working Hours

Compensation : $19 -$25 / hr

Home Health Aid Responsibilities :

Help with general light housekeeping, including cooking meals

Make transportation arrangements or provide transportation for clients as needed

Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members

Observe and report on each client’s condition

Stay up-to-date with home health aide training, policies and procedures

Home Health Aid Requirements :

Previous experience as a home health aide preferred but not required

High school diploma or equivalent required

Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification preferred but not required

Must be able to pass a criminal background check and provide references

Ability to think and work both independently and with direction

Must have exceptional personal hygiene

Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner

Knowledge of basic housekeeping

We are looking for caregivers who are compassionate and reliable. No formal training is required. Helpful certifications include : LNA (Licensed Nursing Assistant), CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), CHHA (Certified Home Health Aide), HHA (Home Health Aide), Care Aides, Nursing Students, PCA (Personal Care Aide), Companion, and Homemaker services.
