Reporting to the Operations Manager you will perform lab services for our galvanizing plant. Duties and ResponsibilitiesBe familiar with the chemicals used in the Plating, Galvanizing and Waste Water Control processes.Be experienced in the handling and identifying of hazardous materials.Be experienced in the safe operation of fork lift trucks.Able to take and record a physical inventory.Capable of replacing the head of the lab in the event of sickness and vacations.Capable of performing a daily chemical analysis and record these results legibly.Familiar with statistical process control and capable of learning how to apply this quality control technique to process control.Safety conscious individual and have a work record that indicates your safe habits.Able to take and complete an Emergency Response Training course sponsored by AZZ Galvanizing.Qualifications6 months to 1-year related experience required.Knowledge of hot dip galvanizing, steel fabrication or other custom metal coating operations is preferred.Experience with similar lab functions preferredMust be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.Minimum EducationHigh School diploma or equivalent is required. Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. AZZ Inc. is a Drug Free Workplace
