Responsibilities

Our client is looking for a Software Engineer – Network Protocol Analyst to join their team! As a Software Engineer - Network Protocol Analyst, you will play a critical role in the design and development of software solutions that analyze and parse various network protocols. You will work closely with our client's team of engineers to create efficient and reliable software that empowers our client's products and enhances network communication capabilities.

• Analyze and understand various network protocols, including but not limited to TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and more
• Design and develop software modules to parse, interpret, and manipulate network protocol data
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate protocol analysis solutions into their products
• Optimize software for performance, scalability, and efficiency
• Troubleshoot and resolve protocol-related issues and bugs
• Stay up to date with the latest developments in network protocols and cybersecurity

Requirements

• 4 years proven experience in network protocol analysis and packet capture
• Expereincewith network analysis tools and libraries specifically with Wireshark, Scapy, tcpdump, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C, or C

Preferred Requirements

• A Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of security protocols and encryption standards is a plus

Clearance Requirements

• Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; The selected candidate will need to apply and obtain a Secret clearance if the selected candidate doesn't already have an active Secret clearance.
