Additionally, our client designs, builds, operates, and secures scalable cloud and IT infrastructures to meet their customers’ near-term needs and fulfill their long-term requirements.

Responsibilities

Our client is looking for an Azure System Administrator to join their team! The individual selected for this role will help create/automate/engineer Azure cloud environments in the classified space. The candidate chosen for this role will have proven ability to stand up Azure cloud for highly governed environment. The individual must have knowledge of and Microsoft Azure Government from an architecture and service owner perspective. The selected candidate will also need to have a functioning knowledge of cybersecurity controls and how they are implemented inside the cloud. It is expected that the individual will be required to interface with a broad cross-section of tenants across all their client's business verticals.

• Define system architecture and provision services utilizing Microsoft Azure, ensuring optimized infrastructure setup and alignment with organizational needs

• Develop and maintain automated pipelines for building and deploying ASP.NET and .NET Core applications, enhancing efficiency and reliability of software releases

• Implement robust cybersecurity measures within the cloud environment, utilizing Azure's security services to protect data and infrastructure against threats

• Oversee the deployment and management of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) infrastructure, including maintaining current setups, initiating new deployments, and addressing related infrastructure needs

• Configure and manage Azure Bastion services, including developing Terraform modules for Bastion setup, assigning role-based access controls for different organizational units, and setting up network configurations such as user-defined routes and virtual network peering

• Skillfully manage stakeholder expectations, adapt to variations in resources and project priorities, and navigate delays in project timelines to ensure consistent progress and satisfaction

Requirements

• 2 years of hands-on experience in Azure administration, with a proven track record of defining system architectures and provisioning Azure services to meet organizational needs

• Demonstrated experience in both Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows environments, showcasing a strong foundation in managing and optimizing systems across diverse operating systems

• Proficiency in developing and maintaining automated build and deployment pipelines specifically for .NET Core applications, ensuring efficient and reliable software delivery processes

• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity practices within cloud environments, with experience in implementing Azure security services and controls to safeguard infrastructure and data

• Experience in deploying and managing Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) infrastructure, including expertise in setting up new deployments, managing existing ones, and addressing supporting infrastructure requirements

• Solid understanding of Azure networking and security services, with hands-on experience in configuring Azure Bastion, creating Terraform modules for network infrastructure, implementing role-based access controls, and setting up network configurations such as user-defined routes and virtual network peering

• Ability to effectively manage stakeholder expectations, adapt to fluctuating resource availability, prioritize tasks in a dynamic project environment, and navigate through delays in project deliverables to ensure continuous progress and stakeholder satisfaction

Preferred Requirements

• Coding experience is preferred
• CICD experience is preferred

Education/Certification Requirements

• For this position, possession of a valid Azure certification is required. Candidates holding any current Azure certifications will satisfy this requirement

Clearance Requirements

• Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active Secret clearance is required.
