We are currently seeking unarmed and armed individuals to join our team as part-time security guards for special events. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the safety of event attendees, staff, and property. Candidates must be available to work flexible shifts, including days, swings, and graves, to accommodate the varying schedules of special events. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to adapt to different environments, and demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service nd safety.

Types of Events: Music Concerts, Sporting Events, Festivals/Fairs, Private Parties, Trade Shows, Fundraisers, Community Gatherings, Corporate Events, Weddings, Etc.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid guard card (issued by BSIS)
• Willingness to undergo background check and drug screening
• must be physically fit and able to stand and walk for extended periods
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts based on scheduling requirements (weekends included)
• Armed Guards MUST have a valid Exposed FirearmsPermit along with licenses for any additional equipment (baton, chemical agents, and/or taser)
• Previous 1 year experience insecurity or related field preferred
• Capability to get to and from work reliably
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible and reassuring security presence throughout the event venue.
• Monitor crowds and identity and address any potential security threats or disturbances.
• Conduct thorough bag checks and screening at entry points as required.
• respond promptly and effectively to any incidents or emergencies that arise during the event.
• Collaborate closely with coworkers, event organizers, venue staff, and local law enforcement to maintain a safe and secure environment
• Assist with crowd control and ensure that guests adhere to venue rules and regulations
• Escort individuals off premises when necessary, while maintaining professionalism and diplomacy.
• Communicate effectively with event attendees, providing directions, assistance, and general information as needed.
• complete detailed incident reports and documentation for any security related incidents.
• Patrol designated areas as needed to deter prohibited activities.
• Monitor alcohol consumption and enforce all state and event policies.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
