Job Title: Regional Safety Manager - Mechanical Services (Oil & Gas Industry)

Location: Permian Basin, Texas

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Safety Manager to oversee and implement safety protocols and procedures within our mechanical services division.

Job Description:

As the Regional Safety Manager for Mechanical Services, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all personnel and operations within the Permian Basin region. You will develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures to minimize risks and promote a culture of safety excellence. Your primary duties will include:

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and initiatives tailored to the unique challenges of mechanical services in the oil and gas industry.

2. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and work sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.

3. Collaborate with management and field personnel to assess safety training needs and develop relevant training materials and programs.

4. Provide guidance and support to supervisors and employees on safety-related matters, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation.

5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations and industry best practices and ensure compliance across all operations.

6. Coordinate with project managers and clients to address safety concerns and develop site-specific safety plans for projects as needed.

7. Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies, industry organizations, and clients on safety-related issues and initiatives.

8. Analyze safety performance data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.

9. Lead emergency response and crisis management efforts, including coordinating evacuation procedures and conducting drills.

10. Serve as a mentor and advocate for a strong safety culture, promoting awareness and accountability at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CSP, CHST) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management, preferably in the oil and gas industry with exposure to mechanical services.
  • Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, and other relevant safety guidelines.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective safety programs and initiatives.
  • Experience conducting safety training and managing incident investigations.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel within the region as needed.
