Position Title: Accounting II

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Accounting II Specialist to join our finance team. This role is pivotal in supporting our financial operations and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and will report to the Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.

2. Cost Accounting: Assist in cost accounting processes, including tracking and analyzing costs related to non-destructive testing, mechanical, and safety services projects.

3. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets and forecasts, providing insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.

4. Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable: Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and reconciliation.

5. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, presenting findings to management as needed.

6. Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations, including GAAP and industry-specific requirements.

7. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

8. Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation, analysis, and support as required.

9. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including operations and procurement, to ensure alignment and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
