Precision Combustion is Hiring a Mechanical Technician - Prototype Development Near North Haven, CT
- Join a 50-person R&D company in North Haven, CT focused on the development of new technologies for applications in the Clean Energy space
- Leverage your mechanical / assembly skills to advance projects related to Solid Oxide Fuel Cell and combustion research
- Work with project engineers to produce prototypes and test-rigs to support and validate research programs
- Keep detailed data records from tests using a variety of analytical instruments
- Handle delicate mechanical assemblies, suggesting improvements to assembly procedures
- Associates or formal Technical Training in manufacturing or fine mechanical assemblie
- Familiarity with multiple analytical testing devices, ability to keep detailed records
- Experience in assembling delicate / fine mechanical devices - experience working on prototype stage or similar without details instructions ideal
- Experience in aviation, fuel cell, gas turbine, or industrial environments is preferred
- Ability to think critically and engage with the broader company in discussing projects
- Comfort working in both a team environment as well as on individually assigned projects
