Precision Build Solutions LLC is Hiring a HSE Manager Near Gibsonton, FL

Responsibilities:The primary responsibility of the HSE manager is to ensure all employees are provided a safe work environment and perform their duties in accordance with company safety policies, industry safety regulations and best practices. The HSE Manager will be a driving force in our company's continuous improvement process and oversee all employee safety-related training and promote a behavior-based safety culture.
Essential Functions:
  1. Responsible to lead the company's fabrication division HSE department and oversee all safety duties and requirements.
  2. Train and mentor HSE coordinators on specific requirements and regulatory practices. Work closely with operations, superintendents, and employees in all requirements of the EHS program.
  3. Document and maintain safety performance standards to include, but not limited to: Incident investigations, accident investigations, first aid reporting, TRIR, OSHA statistics, training certificates, and EHS documentation.
  4. Responsible for maintaining all internal required documentation and external documentation as it relates to OSHA and other agencies’ annual reporting procedures.
  5. Monitor all regulatory agencies including OSHA, ASME, ANSI, and others for any updates to standards. Ensure facilities and personnel are in compliance.
  6. Lead and/or assist in the development of safety procedures, programs, and training.
  7. Respond to all on-site incidents, emergencies, and accidents. Oversee and assist in the response and correction of all safety events such as injuries, illnesses, fatalities, and regulatory issues. Assists HR in the Return to Work (RTW) process with follow-up, and internal reporting.
  8. Conduct regular incident, accident, injury, and root cause analyses to determine areas in need of improvement and advanced training.
  9. Ensure all outside vendors and subcontractors have complied with company HSE programs.
  10. Oversee all safety enforcement, disciplinary and corrective actions.
  11. Support management of environmental programs including annual scheduled third-party audits and site reviews as they pertain to environmental regulations.
  12. Work in conjunction with Operations, Human Resources, and Senior Management to lead and insure the successful completion of all programs and audits.
  13. Maintain and promote the companies’ Safety Star award program.
  14. Maintain and oversee all safety-related LMS programs. Ensure employees receive the necessary safety training required.
  15. Possess strong working knowledge of the Corporate Safety Manual. Work in conjunction with Field EHS and Senior Management on all updates and revisions as necessary to remain compliant.
  16. Ensure all OTR vehicles are compliant with DOT and other regulatory agencies.
  17. Conduct regular safety and risk assessment inspections and report findings to Senior Management.
  18. Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
Qualifications and Certifications:
  • Certifications: (OSHA 30, 510/511, CHST, OHST, CSP) or able to obtain within one year
  • Minimum five years’ experience in an HSE position.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in industrial and steel fabrication.
  • Advanced use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate equally well with upper management and line workers.
  • Team-oriented, proactive, able to work independently.
Reports to directly to Vice President of Fabrication.
