Velocity operates 3 repair stations, specializing in the repair, overhaul, installation and upgrade of electromechanical, digital, pneumatic, avionic, and gyroscopic components for aircraft operators and maintainers in the commercial/regional airline, government and defense operation, business and general aviation markets. 

Our Burbank, California facility has an opening for a Buyer position. The Buyer is responsible for best pricing research, buying parts and replacement units or materials and services for the organization.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for the purchasing of parts and replacement units
• Coordinate purchasing activities within the department
• Maintain and update current and historical pricing
• Maintain inventory control of materials and parts

Ideal candidates offer:

• Minimum of 1 year purchasing experience
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
