Big City Sportswear is currently seeking an experienced Screen Printer. This is an opportunity to be a part of an exceptional organization with tremendous growth potential. JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Receiving work order jobs for Screen Printing.
- Examining work orders to determine estimated printing times, ink, and material quantities.
- Designing screen patterns according to customer specification.
- Selecting screen size, degreasing agents and emulsion coatings.
- Loading screen into printer.
- Installing and repositioning screen printing plates and pressure roles.
- Calibrating printer before batch is printed.
- Running prints and performing quality cheques throughout the printing process.
- Troubleshooting problems as they arise.
- Drying, folding, and packing completed articles after the run.
- Several years’ experience working as a Screen Printer.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- High level of creative and artistic skills.
- Ability to work with ink and chemicals every day.
- Operate large machinery.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must be detail oriented
- Understand color theory & matching methodology
- Exhibit good computer skills
- Exhibit the ability to learn and retain technical information
- Possess a self-motivating attitude and be able to function well in a fast-paced production environment
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Excellent math and measuring skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Adobe Illustrator - One year preferred

According to the New York Pay Transparency law, pay range for this job is $18.00 - $21.00 / hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
