Position Title: Qualified Mental Health Professional-Trainee (QMHP-T)

Job Description:

Provide direct mental health services to individuals under the supervision of a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP).

Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising QMHP.

Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine clients' needs and treatment goals.

Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in accordance with agency policies and procedures.

Collaborate with other members of the treatment team to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

Participate in ongoing training and supervision to develop clinical skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a human services field such as Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field.

Completed coursework in psychology, counseling, or social work.

Eligible for registration with the Virginia Board of Counseling as a QMHP-T.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Knowledge of mental health principles, theories, and practices.

Experience working with individuals with mental health challenges is preferred but not required.
