Preble Street's Facilities Team contributes to our agency mission by helping to create welcoming, safe spaces for clients and staff and by keeping program and agency spaces clean, orderly, and in good repair.
Preble Street is currently seeking a full-time Facilities Technician to work as a member of the Facilities team. The Facilities Technician works alongside the Facilities and Custodial staff and management in this active, hands-on position, performing minor repairs, painting, building maintenance, basic plumbing and wiring, and snow removal; participating in response to emergent needs and custodial tasks, as needed; and ensuring that all Preble Street buildings and systems are in good working order.
The schedule for this full-time (40 hours/week) 1st shift position is Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm with weekend and evening hours occasionally required, as well as rotating emergency on-call responsibilities.
Candidates with any combination of education and experience in maintenance, facilities management, or property management that provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities to be successful in the position will be considered.
