At Praxis, people are our differentiator. As a Software Developer (UI/UX), you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on Software Developer joining our team to utilize your skills as a front end developer, with a focus on UI and some accessibility.

What you will be doing:

• Experience developing medium to large-scale applications; testing, linting, and adherence to coding/web standards.

• Hands-on experience with at least one: React, Vue, or Angular. Vue is preferred.

• Solid understanding of usability and accessibility standards including Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)

• Proven experience of practice knowledge working in Agile Projects from user stories and backlog management to acceptance criteria.

• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and Javascript

• Fundamental experience with design principles, and component library creation

• Comfortable with Git and the Command Line

• Comfortable working in the Browser ecosystem, including concepts like the DOM and CSS's cascade

• Comfortable identifying, troubleshooting, and fixing UX problems (e.g. responsiveness, theming, etc.)

• Comfortable working in and defining common UI grid layouts

• Preferable experience with RDS using PostgreSQL

• Capable of prioritizing multiple tasks in order to meet goals without management oversight

• Special consideration will be given to candidates with experience in both software engineering and graphic design.

What you need:

• Education: BA/BS in Information Technology or related field

• Required Experience: 3 years of related experience

• Required Technical Skills:

o Vue.js (vanilla and Nuxt.js);

o HTML and CSS;

o Ruby on Rails;

o PostgreSQL or MySQL;

o Using AWS.
