Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Administrator to join our team. As an Office Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office and providing administrative support to our staff. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical or dental office administration, possess strong communication skills, and be proficient in practice management software such as Eaglesoft(preferred) or Dentrix.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the office, including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and responding to emails
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance coverage
- Handle financial management tasks such as billing, invoicing, and accounts receivable/payable
- Assist with front office inventory management and ordering of office supplies
- Coordinate meetings, conferences, and travel arrangements for staff
- Supervise administrative staff and provide training as needed
- Oversee the maintenance of office equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical or dental office setting is highly preferred
- Proficiency in practice management software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or eClinicalWorks
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Familiarity with financial management processes including billing and insurance claims
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently
