Here’s what you’ll be responsible for:

• Supervise daily activities of assigned staff including training, coaching, and disciplining as needed.
• Monitor quality of food and drink presentation and observe operations on the floor throughout service. 
• Help identify, evaluate, and develop strategies to increase revenue, control costs, and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with all cash handling procedures and monitor POS (point of sale) register receipts. 
• Handle guest complaints and requests in a respectful and timely manner.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one year of food service experience in a full-service outlet or similar venue required. Food and beverage supervisory experience preferred. Experience with collective bargaining environments preferred. Must have basic level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and various computer systems related to food and beverage operations. Must have excellent customer service and organizational, training, and people skills. Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with people of diverse backgrounds. Must possess knowledge of Iowa Department of Health laws and regulations, as well as liquor laws pertaining to distribution, security, handling, storage, and minors. Must understand inventory procedures and inventory control. Primarily indoor environment. Long periods of standing and walking. Lifting and moving of tables and chairs. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push carts up to 150 pounds. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and varied hours required.
