PRAIRIE FARMS DAIRY, INC. is Hiring a Plant Supervisor Near Somerset, KY

Supervise and coordinate the activities of the second or third shift production and loadout employees. Must be able to effectively coordinate the activities of 20 or more employees.

Requires good communication skills. Supervises processing, loadout, clean up, maintenance and safety.

Consults with Plant Manager on an ongoing basis.

Supervises shift responsibilities and enforces Company policies. Responsible for Plant personnel work scheduling. Reports to Plant Manager.

  • Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as inspectors, machine setters, and fabricators.
  • Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production outputs.
  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
  • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
  • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
  • Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
  • Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.

  • Salary range: $48,000.00 - $55,000.00 annually (Dependent on qualification and experience)
  • Working days vary between weekdays and Saturday
  • 40 hours per week
  • Normal work shifts: Varies
  • Overtime is required for this position

  • Salaried "Exempt" position
