Prairie Eye & LASIK Center is looking for an Insurance Verifier responsible for the verification of insurance for all patients receiving care. The Insurance Verifier is the key contact for insurance companies, internal staff, and patients regarding insurance. The Insurance Verifier will also assist the call center when needed.

:

• Ensures insurance coverage with providers.
• Respond to inquiries from patients, staff, and insurance companies regarding coverage.
• Verifies through online access or telephone insurance eligibility, effective date, amount of co-pay, deductible that has to be applied to account, authorizations needed.
• Completes and documents insurance eligibility findings.
• Print and enter patients’ profile/ authorizations into the patient record/system.
• Call patients to remind them if authorization from medical insurance is needed.
• Ensures that outer office notes are in charts, if notes are not in charts, calls appropriate office and request them.
• Assist the call center with incoming calls if needed.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
