Prairie Dunes Country Club is Hiring a Housekeeping - PT/Seasonal Near Hutchinson, KS

Housekeeping - Clubhouse Essential Functions:

  • Cleaning and Sanitization: Perform cleaning duties, including but not limited to, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and disinfecting all areas of the clubhouse, including lounges, restrooms, offices, and other common areas.
  • Restocking Supplies: Regularly check and replenish supplies such as paper products, linens, soap, and cleaning materials in restrooms and other public areas.
  • Waste Management: Properly dispose of trash and recyclables, ensuring that waste receptacles are regularly emptied and waste is disposed of according to club policies and local regulations.
  • Maintenance Assistance: Report any maintenance issues, damages, or needed repairs to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
  • Setup and Breakdown: Assist in setting up and breaking down event spaces and meeting rooms as needed for club events and functions.
  • Attention to Detail: Pay careful attention to detail to ensure that all areas are spotless, and no task is overlooked.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and comprehensive cleaning of the clubhouse.
  • Safety and Security: Adhere to safety protocols and security procedures while performing duties, keeping the clubhouse environment safe for all

Housekeeping - Lodging Essential Functions:

  • Room Cleaning: Thoroughly clean and prepare guest rooms for incoming guests, including making beds, cleaning surfaces, vacuuming, and ensuring all amenities are stocked and in good condition.
  • Sanitization: Adhere to established cleaning and sanitization standards to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for lodge guests.
  • Common Areas: Clean and maintain the cleanliness of common lodge areas, including lobbies, hallways, and public restrooms.
  • Linen and Towel Service: Manage the collection and distribution of linens and towels, ensuring that they are laundered and restocked in an efficient manner.
  • Supplies Management: Keep an inventory of cleaning supplies and request restocking as needed.
  • Report Maintenance Issues: Identify and report any maintenance issues, damages, or needed repairs in guest rooms or common areas.
  • Lost and Found: Assist in handling lost and found items in accordance with lodge policies.
  • Guest Interaction: Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, responding to requests and inquiries when necessary.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with fellow housekeeping staff to ensure the efficient cleaning and maintenance of the lodge.
  • Safety: Follow safety protocols and lodge security procedures, ensuring a secure environment for guests and staff.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School education is preferred, but not required.
  • Previous housekeeping experience in a lodge, hotel, or similar setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and proper use of cleaning equipment and products.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS – ABILITY TO:

  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk frequently; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Our housekeeper role is crucial in ensuring that our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay while experience the beauty and hospitality experience that Prairie Dunes Country Club is known for. A reliable and detail-oriented person will maintain the cleanliness and overall presentation of our clubhouse and multiple other buildings including our lodge guest rooms and common areas.

Due to the cyclical nature of our industry, Club Employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the Club. Upon employment, all associates are required to fully comply with the company’s rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of the facilities. Associates who violate the rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
