Position Summary: Primary point of responsibility, accountability, and activity for the analysis of inventory with the aim to improve and optimize customer communications and handling. Analyzes workflow rule decisions and products. Designs, develops, implements, and maintains data programming solutions for business rules. Maintains technical process expertise through understanding of the software solutions, technical steps, and underlying data used to execute the decisioning. Builds systems and processes that collect and analyze data regarding account and customer treatments, or lack of treatments, to communicate issues and/or success metrics to other departments. Creates programmatic business logic solutions to solve workflow issues and works across departments to gain support and maintain alignment for workflow decisions. Makes recommendations on inventory workflow rule changes to leadership. Maintains a quality and control aspect of the data execution used for decision making with appropriate documentation and change management oversight. Leads function and accountable for performance and results of the function. Works on complex issues that involve analysis of situations or data requiring an in-depth knowledge of PRA. Seen as an internal "expert." Decisions guided by functional objectives and priorities. Oversees process improvement at the team and departmental level. Develops short to midterm strategic planning. Insight to contribute to the overall success of PRA. Has overall control of planning and recommending and implementing changes to methods. Demonstrates and fosters partnering across teams; influences and builds relationships across functions. This is a Hybrid role which will require working onsite 3 days per week in our Norfolk office with the ability to work remote on Fridays and Mondays. Professional Experience/Qualifications: 3-5 years of management experience leading a team of analysts 10 years of experience in data analysis Advanced-level experience in Data Mining and Data Analysis in SQL and other data management tools with strong data mining/data visualization capabilities Experience managing team of analyst and/or managers. Advance-level experience in process documentation and product management Able to write complex join, union, pivot, common table expression query statements for complex data calculations using time window functions in SQL. Ability to write and troubleshoot stored procedures in MS SQL Server (T-SQL and or PL/SQL experience preferred). Ability to review EDI (electronic data interchange) programming in informatica and translate this into plain English business rules for documentation. Experience with SQL Server scheduled jobs/stored procedures/functions Technical knowledge in data organization and overall process automation. Experience with GitHub management and creating best practices in code change management. Familiar with best practices in Agile development Strong leadership & collaboration skills. Results oriented, willingness to commit to a direction and drive operations to completion Ability to define a process and execution plan, and effectively execute against them Ability to effectively manage multiple development, administrative, and support projects simultaneously. Advanced personal and professional integrity and strong work ethics Ability to articulate vision of transformation efforts and a sense of mission Ability to manage senior relationships across all the Business and Functional areas Collaborative team player orientation towards work relationships, strong culture awareness People focused – excellent interpersonal skills including communication & facilitation and is comfortable coaching people at all levels of the organization Multitasking efficiently with data processing and can disengage and re-engage into various projects with ease Bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or quantitative field like data analytics, or a demonstrable equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience Exceptional oral/written communication skills Job Description/ Key Responsibilities Leader in data projects from project/sample design, business review meetings with internal and external clients deriving requirements/deliverables, reception, and processing of data, performing analyses for final reports/presentations, communication of results and implementation oversight. Manages a team consisting of analysts and potentially managers that oversees the day-to-day execution functions for data delivery, data manipulation, data rules management, and the calculations used as inputs to activity operational execution and reporting. Creates project milestone plans to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Provide high quality ongoing customer support, answering questions, resolving problems, and building solutions. Manages or actively participates in areas of data stewardship and data governance to steer the company’s data strategy needs. Oversees the monitoring and control mechanisms to business processes to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Maintains procedure documentation along with change management and testing documentation as required. Actively participates in proof-of-concept tests of new data, software, and technologies. Follow industry trends in data engineering/analytical processes and businesses. Partners with IT to ensure that data and data infrastructure meets the needs of business. Through clear and concise presentations, delivers and effectively communicates key insights, findings, and recommendations in a concise, actionable, and efficient manner to stakeholders and senior leadership. Leads data investigations to inform operations, fulfillment, and strategy information that can assist them in executing the correct strategies being recommended.
