POWTEC is Hiring a Remote Contract Manager (Contingent)

Position Summary:

Join the dynamic team at POWTEC, where we're actively seeking talented individuals to be integral members of our PRF proposal effort. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's growth and success, contingent upon contract award.

The Contract Manager provides exemplary program and project management leadership and services to support the objectives outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS), as directed by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). This role entails overseeing and managing compliance activities, daily operations, client/customer relationships, and ensuring the quality of deliverables. The Contract Manager is responsible for developing, monitoring, and reporting on project objectives, budget, and schedule status and performance. Reporting to the Federal Task Lead, they manage the technical, contractual, administrative, and financial aspects of assigned projects, ensuring alignment with federal regulations and procedures.

About The Position:

  • Salary Range: $230,000 to $260,000
  • Location: Remote – Lakewood, CO or Reston, VA

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead and manage program and project management teams to ensure compliance with project requirements and objectives.
  • Oversee daily operations, client/customer relationships, and quality control of project deliverables.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on project objectives, budget, and schedule status and performance.
  • Collaborate with applicable federal staff to identify and resolve project management issues.
  • Successfully implement projects and associated services in accordance with task orders and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Hands-on technical experience providing program management services to public sector organizations.
  • Familiarity with Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA), CPIC, SDLC, IT Security Management, and Risk Management.
  • Proficiency in federal IT investment laws, regulations, and processes, including FITARA, the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996, and FISMA.
  • Ability to review and analyze cost, schedule, and performance requirements for federal IT investments.
  • Knowledge of OMB reporting requirements and adapting internal reporting to align with external standards.
  • Proficient in applying consistent management approaches to IT Portfolio Management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong leadership abilities.
  • Experience utilizing Human-Centered Design tools/methods (e.g., Journey Mapping, Affinity Mapping, Storyboarding, etc.).

Requirements:

  • Minimum of ten years of experience in project management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with IT Project Management processes, including industry-standard practices defined by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must reside within the United States, with preference to candidates who reside within a 50 mile radius of Reston, VA or Lakewood, CO
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
