An Ashland based engineering firm has an immediate opening for a highly organized project scheduler. You will be responsible for setting project goals and deadlines, estimating resource needs, drafting schedules for engineers, and communicating timelines to all departments. During each project, you will monitor development progress, and ensure the team is moving efficiently and to the customer’s expectations. You will offer suggestions and solutions for any issues that may arise to get projects back on track. Other job duties include analyzing the project timeline for efficiency and creating weekly status reports for upper management.

Project Scheduler Duties and Responsibilities

• Create, monitor and maintain a timeline for the project
• Consult with engineers and technical experts to set up assignments, tasks, and subtasks.
• Estimate resource needs based on project timelines
• Coordinate project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders.
• Identify potential project schedule delays and facilitating intervention in a timeous manner.
• Evaluate performance and preparing project progress reports.
• Accommodate updates and changes to project schedules.
• Recommend actions to keep projects within budget and completed on time.
• Keep stakeholders informed of project timelines and deadlines.
• Document project scheduling processes and maintain records.
• Set short and long-term project goals for engineers

Project Scheduler Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate; Bachelor’s degree in project management preferred
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Advanced proficiency in project scheduling software including Microsoft Project
• Certification as a PMI scheduling professional (PMI-SP) will be advantageous
• Extensive experience in schedule planning and management
• Advanced ability to evaluate project progress and facilitate interventions
• Ability to keep stakeholders informed of project timelines and changes
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,589.80 - $60,925.35 per year
