NOTE: THIS IS A TRAVELING POSITION STATIONED AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS CONUS, AND POTENTIALLY OCONUS. COMPENSATION PACKAGE INCLUDES COMPETITIVE SALARY, COMPREHENSIVE BENEFITS AND TRAVEL/PER DIEM. 

Performs structural modifications in support of contract field teams on C-130 aircraft. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on DoD aircraft.
• Perform periodic special inspections in support of a scheduled maintenance plan.
• Assist in the maintenance of government furnished support equipment supporting scheduled maintenance plans of equipment and aircraft.
• Read, interpret, and supports development of mechanical fabrication and installation drawings
• Work from and assist in the development of engineering drawings
• Work independently with little to no supervision
• Lead modification teams
• Understand and use complex hand tools and machine shop equipment
• Machine and sheet metal use
• Perform in progress and final inspections for assemblies and installations
• Work as a modification team lead
• Travel required up to 90% of time
• Other Duties as Assigned

• Minimum of 3-5 years of significant experience in demonstrating installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance/repair of complex structural equipment
• Graduate of a technical school (Military or Civilian) Preferred
• Previous experience working on C-130 aircraft preferred.
• Previously experienced on aircraft ground handling preferred.
• Experience working on modification teams
• Provide technical direction and guidance to lower-level technical personnel
