Job Title: Standby Generator Service Technician
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Standby Generator Service Technician to join our team. As a Standby Generator Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing standby generators for residential and commercial clients. You will work independently or as part of a team to provide excellent service and ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot standby generators according to manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil and filter changes, battery testing and replacement, and general inspections.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to generators, such as electrical malfunctions, fuel system problems, control panel errors, etc.
- Keep accurate records of service calls, maintenance performed, and parts used.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain the scope of work, provide updates, and answer any questions or concerns.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a standby generator service technician or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of generator systems, electrical systems, and power distribution.
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical issues.
- Familiarity with various generator brands and models.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Generac air-cooled & liquid cooled certification preferred.
