Job Description:

We are seeking a versatile and creative individual to join our team as a Mechanical Engineer & 3D Sculptor/Artist. In this hybrid role, you will combine your expertise in mechanical engineering with your artistic skills in 3D sculpting to contribute to the design and development of our projects. You will be responsible for creating visually stunning and technically precise 3D models that meet the functional, aesthetic and manufacturing requirements of our projects. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineers and designers to conceptualize and develop innovative mechanical solutions
• Utilize 3D modeling software (e.g. SolidWorks, Geomagic Design X, Blender) for mechanical design and engineering analysis
• Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications for mechanical components and systems
• Apply 3D sculpting techniques and utilize organic modeling techniques to create complex shapes and surfaces
• Work from 3D scans to convert scanned data into parametric models
• Generate high-quality 3D models and renderings that accurately represent design concepts
• Conduct feasibility studies and simulations to assess the performance and functionality of designs
• Iterate on designs based on feedback from cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Conduct tests and experiments to validate designs and identify areas for improvement

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360) for both traditional and surface modeling
• Experience with 3D sculpting software (e.g., Blender, ZBrush) and digital sculpting techniques
• Strong artistic skills and a keen eye for detail
• Experience with various manufacturing methods (e.g. injection molding, CNC, sheet metal)
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and best practices
• Experience with 3D printing and workshop equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
