JOB SUMMARY 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Builds and codes applications and/or models using various computer programming languages with a strong emphasis in C , Python, JavaScript, database languages.

• Mines and analyzes large amount of data, applies Machine Learning and statistical approaches to drive optimization and improvement of product development.

• Performs a variety of testing procedures on assigned products, analyzes test results, and corrects problems.

• Collaborates with end-users to identify problems and formulate specific requirements.

• Prepares detailed specifications and flowcharts from which code will be written. 

• Supports process and workflow standardization. 

• Supports writing and updating technical documentation such as user’s manuals, product specifications, and training materials.

• Prepares reports on analyses, findings, and project progress, and presents results to management.

• Manages code version control and development process using Git repository or similar.

• Performs research on emerging technologies to determine impact on application execution. 

• Participates in special projects as required and may serve as a team leader.

• Supports on-site commissioning and troubleshooting at customer sites. 

• Domestic Travel required up to 10%.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education & Training

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other Engineering discipline; or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

• Master’s Degree in Data Science or Data Analytics preferred. 

• Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM’s EHS Training Matrix 

Skills/Experience 

• 1 of computer programming industry experience is preferred
• Advanced knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures used in computer programming.
• Related experience in analytic programming, data extraction, querying databases/data warehouses and data analysis.
• Self-motived, team player, and creative mindset that no task is too small.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
• Preferred Experience 
  • Familiarity with Gas Turbines. 
  • Experience working with and deploying machine learning / AI models.
  • Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques & statistical techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.).
  • Proficiency in the use of SaaS.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment using collaboration tools (Azure DevOps).
  • Experience working in a cloud environment and data storage.
  • Experience leading project tasks.
