Job Title: Materials Management and Restoration Coordinator
Reports to: Project Manager
Compensation: $24-$32

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Materials Management and Restoration Coordinator will play a crucial role in overseeing the procurement, tracking, and delivery of materials for the Gas Division's projects, ensuring they stay on schedule and within budget. This role also involves adhering to established project requirements for remediation and restoration.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Orders, picks up, and delivers all necessary parts and equipment to job sites and centrally located warehouse sites.
  • Maintains a current list of materials on hand at various storage locations and crew vehicles.
  • Tracks and compares material costs against bid amounts to ensure budget compliance.
  • Assists with material procurement and job setup.
  • Regularly communicates with foremen to maintain current and future workflow.
  • Coordinates the restoration of completed jobs, including timely communication with property owners for scheduling and addressing customer complaints.
  • Reports directly to the job site on a daily basis.
  • Geographical coverage includes several blanket contract areas, such as Clarence, Orchard Park, and Batavia.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Previous experience in material management.
  • No lifting or physical restrictions.
  • OSHA 10 Certification is a plus (training available).
  • Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
  • Equipment knowledge.
  • Demonstrates safe and proper use and maintenance of all company tools and equipment.
  • Certified Excavator Program completion.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift and move heavy parts and equipment (up to 50 pounds or more).
  • Stamina to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise tasks.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Good vision, including close-up and peripheral vision, for detailed inspections.
  • Hearing ability to diagnose engine and equipment noises.
