Responsibilities include:

initiate, monitor and re-evaluate nutritional and lifestyle strategies to promote weight loss and improve metabolic function

educate and provide guidance for patients through potential barriers for success.

use cognitive behavioral techniques to promote behavior change

formulate menus for therapeutic diets

create resources for patients

Our office hours are Mon - Thurs from 8am - 6pm. The position is in the West Hartford location.

Required Qualifications:

Required Licenses/Certifications: Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist (CDN) by the Connecticut Department of Health, Certified Health Coach (preferred), Passion to help people (required)

Preferred skills: Clinical Nutrition, Nutritional and Behavioral Counseling, Experience in documenting in electronic medical records.
