Post House is Hiring an Inn Manager Near Mount Pleasant, SC

Post House Inn is seeking an Inn Manager to oversee the operation of our seven-room inn. First

and foremost, the Inn Manager must be extremely hospitable and welcoming, responsible, and

have previous hotel experience in a supervisor or management role. The Inn Manager’s

responsibilities are outlined below.

  • Day-to-day management of inn team, including but not limited to:

o Creation of the weekly schedule

o Managing housekeepers, breakfast attendant, houseman

o Overseeing night auditors

o Responsible for managing Inn ordering needs such as linen and cleaning supplies

o Interviewing and hiring new team members as needed

  • Creating exceptional guest experiences, including personally handling guest special

occasions, and making sure these occasions are treated appropriately and creatively

  • Checking guests in and out as much as possible and being able to train managers, hosts,

and other team members on how to do so in your absence

  • Daily confirmation calls for incoming inn reservations and any requested follow up

reservation/concierge duties

  • Managing the Whistle texting app, responding quickly when on duty
  • Booking experience packages and continuing to develop this program (sailing, wellness,

walking and the like)

  • Attending weekly management meetings including weekly Inn meeting
  • Inspecting rooms after Lead Housekeeper has completed their duties
  • Completing all Post House merchandise inventory and management
  • Communicating with restaurant Manager on Duty before leaving for the day to pass

down any information or notes

  • Managing and overseeing Post House’s general cleanliness and maintenance, including:

o Ensuring the restaurant is cleaned appropriately

o Assisting with overseeing any contracted maintenance that may be taking place

in the inn or restaurant

  • Working with Basic Management to reasonably ensure that Post House is, at all times,

operating, functioning, and otherwise managing costs and expenses in a manner which

maximizes the Inn’s profitability and financial potential

  • Ensuring that Post House’s operation and practices with respect to the foregoing are in

compliance with the law, including without limitation all labor laws and regulations, and

further ensuring that such practices are otherwise consistent with the policies and

procedures established by the Company

  • The performance of such additional services as may be reasonably requested by Basic

Management

This is a full-time position with 45 weekly hours expected. The schedule would be Wednesday through Sunday, 7am-4pm with some holidays required.
