Job Summary

The Parts Cleaner removes and cleans metal and fabricated parts for processing and recycling utilizing cleaning solutions, equipment, and machinery.

Job Responsibilities

  • Cleans excess oil from soiled parts and scrape metal by means of centrifuges.
  • Cleans and dries soiled parts and scrap metal utilizing Durr Echo Cleaning System.
  • Counts parts for quantity control.
  • Cleans floors, tables, drip pans, and machinery.
  • Monitors and mixes cleaning solution tanks for consistency.
  • Must work with the EHS department to ensure all local, state, and federal regulatory agencies requirements are met; OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA and Amphenol sustainability practices.
  • Must work with the Quality department to ensure all quality standards are met for AS9100 certification.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 1 to 3 months of experience or training.

Physical: Must be able to lift 0-35lbs. frequently. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach and reach overhead.

Shift: Second (M-F 2:30-11:00pm)

Knowledge

  • English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
