Apply Today!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Central Sterile Technician is responsible for decontamination of instruments, sterilization protocols and assembly of surgical instrument sets. He/she consistently adheres to proper sterilization procedures and aseptic technique.Essential Functions:Receives, cleans, processes, assembles and distribute medical supplies, equipment and surgical instrumentsPrepares, assembles and packages all medical equipment and instruments for surgery and other hospital departmentsSterilizes all reusable equipment, supplies and instrumentationMaintains and operates Central Sterile equipmentHandles, transports and stores sterile equipment, instruments and suppliesHelps direct the work flow in Central Sterile SupplyDemonstrates department specific skills and competencies, including high-risk, low-volume and problem-prone competenciesAttendance: works as scheduled and is compliant with Attendance and Tardiness PolicyQualifications and Experience:Central Sterile Technician Certification (CRCST) required within one year from date of hireCentral Sterile experience is preferred, but not required.
