Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will be part of a team that cares for all aspects of maternity and family care services including but not limited to antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum care. You will provide a comfortable and safe environment that supports safe delivery for the mother and her newborn.

• You will perform antepartum testing to assess fetal well-being and become proficient with fetal monitoring interpretation.
• Part of the labor support will include you performing comforting measures, positioning and pain management techniques for your patient.
• You will monitor, record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• You will also provide assessment and care of pediatric patients who are cared for on the unit.
• Coordinating patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team will also be part of your responsibilities.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of NH or valid compact state.
• BLS
• NRP within 1styear of hire
• PALS preferred
• 1-2 years Labor and Delivery experience required
