Responsibilities

  • The CNA/Behavioral Health Technician performs selected patient care activities and is a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, providing support for the patient�s therapeutic treatment plan.
  • Observes and records patient information pertinent to the treatment plan, and reports this information to the staff RN and other members of the treatment team.
  • Maintaining safety checks and assessments of the individual patients and Behavioral Health environment.
  • Assists patients with physical and emotion needs, deals with patient emergencies, and works as a member of a clinical team.
  • Hands on patient care may include; physical care related to activities of daily living, emotional support, limit setting, verbal and physical redirection, nutritional support, along with support of the general patient milieu.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School or GED
  • Current CNA Certification in the State of Idaho
  • Current BLS certification

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Two years of education in the behavioral health sciences or experience in the behavioral health field
