Portland Oregon Outpatient Plastic Surgery Center is Hiring an OR Registered Nurse Near Portland, OR

We are currently seeking a registered nurse for our plastic surgery office three days a week. We are an outpatient surgical center with no night, weekend, or holiday work. The position provides preoperative, circulating, and postoperative nursing at a fully accredited office-based surgery center in Portland, Oregon, focusing on aesthetic plastic surgery. The position is scheduled for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 7 AM until the last case (usually 5 pm).

This position will work closely with our surgeons, surgical technologists, and anesthesiologists to provide our patients with the safest, most comfortable, and comprehensive care.

What You Will Do:

  • Performs preoperative assessment and care evaluation of patients undergoing surgical procedures in a circulating role. Collaborates with the surgical team on the plan of care.
  • Intra-operative: Provides knowledge-based technical assistance to the surgeon during the operative procedure according to AORN standards, licensure, state regulation, and facility/practice protocols, including using instruments and medical devices. Coordinates and oversees the room during a case as the circulator.
  • Evaluate the patient post-operatively according to facility protocols. Consistently reviews charts for completeness in accordance with documentation protocols prior to and after the surgical procedure. Assures appropriate consent, H/P, diagnostic reports, and relevant information are on the chart prior to the start of the procedure.
  • Participates in developing and maintaining established clinic policies, procedures, and objectives as well as quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection prevention programs.

What You Will Need:

  • Accredited nursing program graduate with a BSN or equivalent experience and current state RN licensure.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS).
  • Circulating operating room and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) experience is preferred.
  • Good judgment, supervision, listening, creativity, conflict resolution, and leadership skills. Must take initiative and provide critical thinking skills to address clinical issues.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
