As our Summer Field Marketing Intern, your job is to fuel fans’ passion for the Portillo’s brand through community engagement, brand awareness and social media content creation. Your primary role will be re-engaging the Portillo’s For Good program for our internal and guest-facing needs. As a member of our Field Marketing team, you will get the chance to attend new restaurant openings, partnership activations, community events, and more. You will also collaborate with our Off-Premises Dining Team and our internal design team, Ever Creative. Above all else, you will do what needs to be done – and you’ll have fun doing it!

This full-time paid internship will last ten weeks, requiring you to spend time in our Oak Brook, IL, home office, and at various off-site locations throughout the Chicagoland area. There is the possibility of interstate travel (for new restaurant openings or Beef Bus activation) and working the occasional weekend.

· A passion for promotional marketing

· Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excell, PowerPoint, etc.). Knowledge of Asana and SalesForce is a bonus.

· Demonstrated ability to think outside the box to solve unique challenges

· A creative spirit with an organized mindset

· Outgoing, fun, and engaging personality; not intimidated by talking to strangers

· Videography and social media skills are a bonus

· Previous work as a Portillo’s restaurant crew member is frosting on the cake

· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Support daily Field Marketing needs, such as reviewing donation and fundraiser requests in the Portillo’s for Good program, canvassing with local field marketing coordinators, and assisting with off-site promotional events.

· Occasional support of print and digital graphic design initiatives from ideation and execution to exporting and archiving. Projects will include merchandising, email, web, advertising, packaging, social media, and field marketing.

· Capturing content for social media and identifying new social trends

· Support Beef Bus social media – and possible on-site support while it tours

· Participate in marketing activities for a New Restaurant Opening

· Participate in brainstorms and project meetings with the Field Marketing team and restaurant leadership teams

· Other duties as assigned by the Field Marketing Manager
