Porter, Rogers, Dahlman, & Gordon, P.C. is a full- service law firm who strives to ensure that every client feels heard, respected, and valued as we work hard to secure them a favorable outcome. We are currently seeking a billing clerk to join the team in either our San Antonio, TX or Corpus Christi, TX location. Our office hours are M-F 8-5pm, this position is onsite.
Summary:
As the Billing Clerk, you will work with attorneys to facilitate client billing according to established guidelines. This position would be gathering data, calculating charges and fees, and creating invoices for billing purposes. A successful candidate will possess relative knowledge of E-billing, superior attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and exceptional organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
· Prepare monthly prebills, edits, and bills.
· Complete daily deposits
· Enter attorney billable time and charges into the Perfect Law
· Verifies accuracy of billing data, correcting any errors.
· Creates itemized statements, bills, invoices, and other necessary billing documents.
· Performs general bookkeeping work, which may include entering data and maintaining records, invoices, and supporting documents of amounts due for services rendered.
· Generates shipping labels and billing documents.
· Contacts clients to obtain, verify, and update account information when necessary.
· Work with attorneys on collections for outstanding invoices.
· Perform other related duties, as assigned.
Required Skills:
· Basic understanding of clerical and administrative procedures.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
· Excellent attention to detail and data entry skills
Experience:
· Previous experience with electronic billing preferred.
· Law firm experience required.
· Accounting background preferred.
· Administrative billing support, data entry or relatable experience required.
· Prior experience in collections preferred.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
