Portales Municipal Schools is Hiring a Custodian Near Portales, NM
Location: Valencia Elementary
The Custodian provides a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, environment to ensure full and productive use of school.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Respond to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned.
- Support the value of an education.
- Support the philosophy and mission of Portales Municipal School District.
- Work cooperatively with colleagues, supervisors, and administrators.
- Communicate with supervisor and coworkers.
- Demonstrate ethical behavior.
- Engage in self-development.
- Adhere to confidentiality laws and regulations.
- Model safety and work in a safe manner.
Must be able to read and follow instructions pertaining to chemicals and equipment.
- Maintains building and grounds in a neat, ordely, and clean condition to include handicap facilities, steps, sidewalks, driveways, student areas, recreational facilities, and playground equipment.
- Must be able to read instructins for use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Must be able to lift over 50 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently.
Hours:6am to 4pm with a two hour lunch. 12 month contract. Actual start date will be June 1st.
