Portage Path Behavioral Health is Hiring a Substance Abuse Counselor (LICDC, LCDC II or III, LPC/LPCC, LSW/LISW) Near Akron, OH
Outpatient Substance Abuse Clinician
Requirements:
- Must hold a valid Ohio License (LICDC, LCDC II or III, LSW/LISW, LPC/LPCC, LMFT, PhD)
Responsibilities:
- Conducting diagnostic evaluations to assess the severity and nature of substance abuse disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans; as well as ASAM
- Caseload management and completion of progress notes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care for clients
- Delivering patient care through individual and group counseling sessions
- Managing crisis situations and providing immediate intervention as needed
- Utilizing evidence-based practices such as motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy to facilitate change in patients
