Outstanding opportunity for a Bilingual Yard & Maintenance Manager to join our growing international transportation and logistics company specializing in the shipment of used cars, boats, heavy machinery, and agricultural equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting custodial services, maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds and facilities, and maximizing efficiency, productivity and appearance of the entire yard and its extensions.

• Identification, troubleshooting and inspection of viable equipment, machines, and hand tools.
• Completing daily, weekly and/or yearly inspections and maintenance of equipment, building life-safety, and systems such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical and lighting.
• Performing specialized tasks common to the general care and cleanliness of grounds, landscape, and structure of buildings alike, aimed to prevent, correct, predetermine, predict, and react to physical and mechanical damage of facilities ensuring the safety and security of the buildings and its occupants.
• Cost effective servicing and cleanliness of grounds and facilities such as insuring grounds are free of debris and potholes, maximizing the safety and efficiency of operations, facility equipment, cargo, and employees. 
• Anticipating and conducting seasonal and/or weather-related endeavors such as snow and ice removal. 
• Completing administrative processes as well as reporting and adhering to departmental budgets.
• Creating, implementing, and maintaining an all-inclusive facility checklist and comprehensive safety guide, inclusive of industry protocols and OHSA practices.
• Forecasting, managing, and ordering of service parts, supplies and materials and their corresponding inventories.
• Assisting management with any other tasks, projects, short- or long-term goals, as assigned.

• Competency in basic mechanics and tools, groundskeeping, plumbing, heating, wiring, and inspecting buildings to confirm safety standards and scheduling major repairs with the building's inhabitants.
• Analytic mindset and ability to understand technical documentation such as design blueprints and instructional manuals.
• Strong and effective verbal and written communication, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines. 
• Resourceful, creative, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency for painting, cement/concrete, vinyl, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.

• Bilingual or ability to communicate effectively in Spanish. 
• Ability to operate a forklift, dolly, pallet jack, cart, and such equipment necessary for safe and effective service of grounds and structures. 
• 5 years minimum verifiable experience in facilities maintenance, including but not limited to painting, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
• Proven understanding of safety regulations, practices, and procedures.
• OSHA certification, required.
• Competency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet resourcing.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be flexible and available/on call for emergency repairs, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
• Must be able to adjust accordingly to environmental working conditions that include vibrations, loud noise, odor, and varied weather extremes as well as exposure to petroleum-based products such as gasoline, diesel fuel, oil, and grease. 
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check.
