Port City Air is Hiring a Food Service Team Member Near Portsmouth, NH

Great Circle Catering is the Seacoast area's premier full-service event and aviation catering company. Great Circle Catering operates several kiosks, which include Airside Café, located in the Portsmouth International Airport terminal, The Daily Press and What A Crock!

Our Food Service Team Members are responsible for the proper and efficient operation of the kiosk during their shift. This includes upholding the highest levels of professionalism and hospitality. You will play a vital role in increased profitability and growth of the kiosks.

Our Food Service Team Members enjoy flexible schedules with opportunities for advancement. Most shifts occur during daytime hours and for 3-6 hours on average. Nights and weekends may be required as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Customer service
    • Provide information to customers on products being offered
    • Awareness and sensitivity to dietary restrictions, allergies and special needs
    • Take orders in a prompt manner and ensure steady flow of service
    • Maximize sales by offering suggestions
    • Maintain cleanliness of working areas
    • Follow proper cash register procedures
    • Assist with food prep when needed
    • Restock inventory
    • Accurately complete a product requisition for the next shift

Requirements:

    • Previous customer service experience
    • Previous cash handling experience
    • Food service experience preferred
    • TIPS and/or ServeSafe certifications highly desirable
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills
    • Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Excellent verbal communication
    • Ability to learn/use point of sale (Square) systems
    • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
    • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test

Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 lbs.
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time
