Job Duties/ Responsibilities:

· Provide assistance to the shipping staff.

· Maintain an inventory of shipping materials and supplies.

· Suggest and instruct customer experience team on shipping products and services, routes and rates.

· Assemble, gather and document shipping parcels.

· Ensure proper delivery of materials to customers.

· Answer and respond to customer inquiries on shipping issues.

· Initiate and implement best practices in shipping processes.

· Prepare shipping documents including but not limited to BOLs, Commercial Invoices, etc.

· Coordinate with outside carriers and trucking firms to arrange pickups and deliveries.

· Occasional help on the shipping dock.

Requirements:

· Attention to detail

· Excellent time management skills

· 2 years of shipping/receiving experience preferred

· Familiarity with shipping services such as LTL, FTL, freight brokerage, etc.

· High school diploma, general education degree or equivalent

· Excellent Communication skills, written and verbal

· Experience in managing large volumes of data

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word etc.)

· Hazcom Certification preferred

Essential skills:

· Must possess strength and dexterity to manipulate, move, handle, and coordinate materials weighing 50-100 pounds consistently over a 2-hour period

· Possess the problem-solving skillset when coordinating the load of a truck, assuring all items are secure and organized to ease the end user upon receipt

· Must maintain safety protocol while operating in an area with Forklift traffic

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
