Poppies Bakeries LLC. is Hiring a Baker Near Battleboro, NC
This is what your day will look like:
- Operation of the dough mixer. Including program selection, program loading and manual unloading of the ingredients in the case of an alarm.
- Responsible for a timely dough readiness and exchange of the dough bowls.
- Connection of the egg tote to the egg pump and replacement of totes as needed.
- Pumping of the oil from the outside silos to the inside holding tank.
- Operation of both depositors. Including program selection, adjustments, speed control, weight control and reporting of any abnormalities to the Production Supervisor and /or Maintenance Department.
- Operation of both ovens. Proper start up and shut down of the ovens. Setting up of the temperature, timing adjustment, air circulation, dumpers and top and bottom heat regulation.
- Control of the baked product size and color.
- Working as a part of the production team by performing quality control checks (dough weight, shape, baked size, color temperature,...), and record keeping via access data base.
- Cleaning up of the bakery department, including CIP of the mixer and egg pump, break down and clean up of the depositors and dough pump.
- Disposal of the waste via designated rout-service corridor.
- Compliance with the procedures, specifications and GMP.
- Production in an effective way to ensure that production goals are met: minimize waste, maximize output, in compliance with quality guidelines, in compliance with safety laws and company safety policies and procedures.
- Informing Production Supervisor and Maintenance of any malfunction in machinery and any other equipment.
- Inputting data in an access database.
- Being responsible for the training of new bakers.
- Accomplishing assigned tasks.
- Other tasks as requested and defined by your supervisor or manager.

- A minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- You must be able to push and pull heavy bowls consistently throughout the shift.
- You also must be able to lift 50 lbs. above waist occasionally.
- You have the ability to apply principles of logical thinking on a wide range of practical problems.
- You are goal and task oriented.
