Seeking a Family Law Paralegal – immediate start date
The ideal candidate must possess at least 1 year plus of experience (or a paralegal degree) in Divorce/Family Law, who is detail-oriented, self-starter with the ability to multi-task, and to work well as part of a small team and independently. Strong administrative, organizational, communication and writing skills are required. Able to work efficiently, prioritize work and handle interruptions as they come up.
The Paralegal will support a Divorce/Family law attorney by handling phone calls in a timely and professional manner, and providing exceptional support to current and future clients, as well as assist with other tasks.
Other responsibilities and duties include:
· Answer the telephone
· Schedule appointments
· Correspond and follow up with current and potential clients
· Act as a point of contact for attorney
· Assist in maintaining schedules for the attorneys
· Prepare, scan, copy, and file legal documents/correspondence/records in respective client files, as well as filing to corresponding courts
· Multi-tasking or balancing workload throughout the course of deadlines
· Maintain confidentiality at all times
Requirements and Qualifications:
· Previous Divorce/Family Law Firm experience preferred or completion of a paralegal degree/certificate
· Spanish language proficiency is preferred
· Microsoft Office
Compensation
Salary is paid out weekly and will be determined based on experience and expected commitment. References may also be requested upon further consultation.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
