NurturingArtist provides direct services of music, art, dance, or exercise to hospicepatients and their families to assist in reducing the psycho-social andphysical needs as identified by the IDT assessment. Manage related expendituresin a fiscally responsible manner in accordance with the Company’s budget.Travel as necessary. The Hospice Music, Art, Dance, Exercise staff will visitsenior centers, assisted living and skilled facilities and/or other facilitiesas requested, to provide soothing psycho-social, emotional, spiritual and /orphysical comfort of our patients, families and facility staff. The Nurturing Artist will promoteHomestead Hospice in all the facilities they visit and will relay importantinformation about the facility, patient or families to the appropriate hospiceinterdisciplinary team member for further interaction. The Nurturing Artist will adhere to all patient, family andfacility HIPPA rules and rights/responsibilities.
1. Minimum of Certification from an approved Music,Art, Dance, or Exercise Therapy Program preferred.
2. Atleast two years in the field preferred.
3. In regards to Nurturing Art specialty, NurturingArtist must exhibit skill and knowledge
1. Compliancewith accepted professional standards and practices.
2. Abilityto work in an interdisciplinary setting.
3. Self-directedwith the ability to work little supervision.
4. Flexibleand cooperative in fulfilling all obligations.
5. Somework outside of normal business hours is required.
6. Proficiencyin utilizing specific art techniques to assist the patient and family.
7. Goodattendance must be maintained.
