What to Expect?

As a Facilities Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations, maintenance, and safety of our warehouse, chemical plant, and administrative building facilities. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will oversee maintenance activities, coordinate with external vendors, and lead a team of maintenance staff. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise in facility management, and a commitment to ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our facilities.

On a daily basis our Facilities Supervisor:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, chemical plant, and administrative building facilities.

  • Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure routine tasks such as cleaning, repairs, and inspections are completed in a timely manner.

  • Respond promptly to facility-related issues and ensure appropriate actions are taken to resolve them.

  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for facility maintenance, repairs, and services.

  • Ensure vendor contracts and service level agreements are upheld and meet the company's standards.

  • Evaluate vendor performance and provide feedback to the Facilities Manager for contract renewals or changes.

  • Supervise and support maintenance staff, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and resolving any issues that may arise.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to promote teamwork and productivity.

  • Assist in training new hires and conducting performance evaluations for existing staff.

  • Maintain open communication with the Facilities Manager and other relevant stakeholders regarding facility operations and issues.

  • Prepare regular reports on facility maintenance activities, including work orders, expenditures, and completed tasks.

  • Provide input and recommendations for improving facility processes and procedures.

What You Will Need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; additional education or training in facilities management or related field preferred.

  • Proven experience in facility management or a related field, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.

  • Knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels.

  • Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office suite.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
