Lifeguarding is a great summer opportunity, and one of the best summer jobs you will find. Pool Professionals' lifeguards are trained and given all the skills they need. We are looking for individuals who want to gain skills and professional experience that they can use for years to come. This is a seasonal position, we hire for part-time seasonal and full-time seasonal positions. A lifeguard is the first responder at the facility and this is a position that is taken very seriously. There are a lot of responsibilities as a lifeguard, many of which can be the difference between life and death for patrons.

Lifeguard Duties and Responsibilities:

• Remain alert at all times, on the lookout, and ready to assist swimmers in trouble in the pool and on deck.
• Enforce all facility rules consistently and in a courteous manner.
• Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times
• Show up on time to each shift
• Make sure you maintain a professional appearance at all times
• Greet and check in members and guests.
• Develop and maintain a friendly relationship with members and guests
• Provide an exceptional customer service experience
• Maintain a clean facility (pool, deck, restrooms, etc.)
• Complete daily checklists
• Attend all required staff meetings and in-services.

Lifeguarding requires that one be constantly alert for any dangers to the swimming pool patrons. The primary duties of a pool lifeguard are prevention of emergencies/injuries in and out of the water, enforcing pool rules, responding to emergencies, as well as providing a superb customer service experience. Secondary duties include chemical testing of pool water, vacuuming and cleaning of the pool, completing daily logs, ensuring safe and clean facilities, and In-service training to maintain lifeguarding skills. Must be at least 15 years of age to work. Some pool locations require 18 years old. We offer competitive pay, referral bonus, Mid-season raises, and Seasonal Work from May-September.
